Model S Plaid vs 3 Performance

Waiting forever for my plaid order and frankly getting fed up. Also been reading a lot about vibration and build quality issues on the US cars.

Is it worth waiting for the plaid or do I buckle and go for a m3p and spend the difference on hybrids turbos for my ICE?

Depends on what you plan to do with the car. Plaid performance is of course in another league, but away from the drag strip when are you ever gong to use even 50% of it? It's also a big car for UK roads.

If it's just a car to daily, and you don't need the extra range of the Plaid then save yourself £40-50k would be my advice. I expect the Plaid would be terrifying on a Uk B-Road with that level of performance and apparently weak brakes.

TBH I found the Model 3 P quite frustrating a lot of the time as just so much quicker than 99% of cars on the road and very little opportunity to use it.

I imagine the levels of self control to daily drive a Plaid would be well beyond me.

sorry for the slightly off-topic intrusion, but this got me wondering - can you spec the Plaid without the yoke steering wheel? I tried searching on google but just got a load of irrelevant results

Right now, it is only spec'd with yoke.

Would be surprised if it doesn’t get to be an option soon.
