RR 5.0 Supercharged or S63/S65 AMG?
Discussion
Hi All
I'm after a new car after my last one got stolen from my driveway. Not interested in an overpriced box less than 4 years old due to current price inflation.
So for a bit of fun (and school run for the wife) whats likely to go wrong less/ be more fun??? Live in London and only drive 4k a year, all motorway bar 4 mile school run.
RR L322 5.0 V8 Supercharged
S63 AMG 5.5 or 6.2
S65 AMG
Used to have a CL63 AMG (6.2)and it was the best car I owned (way better than 550).
Will using one daily melt the engines through too many heat cycles (starting from cold twice a day)? Prepared for £4k a year bills before tax, insurance and petrol.
Thanks

That's like asking who is the nicest guy between Hitler and Stalin.I've owned both FFRR's and S-classes. Both have amongst the highest bork potential of any car you're likely to come across and if you get a bad one will be endlessly unreliable.
If I had to toss a coin, I'd say that the Range Rover is likely to be most reliable, but neither is really suitable for low mileage on the school run: the less mileage you do in them the more faults (electronics glitches, mainly) they'll be prone to develop.

Has to be the S65 if you're happy with the higher running costs it's a no branier:I'm after a new car after my last one got stolen from my driveway. Not interested in an overpriced box less than 4 years old due to current price inflation.

Or if you liked the CL63 maybe go for a CL65:
