Temp Insurance on a modified car

Hi,

I'm thinking of purchasing a new car to replace my current. It's a fair trek away so I'd need to drive it home myself if I buy

My current insurance dont have the ability to add the 2nd car temporarily

Are there are insurers which offer short term cover for modified vehicles?
