MOT discrepancy
Discussion
Bought a used car.
car failed MOT on indicator bulb and 2 advisories (brake pads and something causing a knocking under the car to do with suspension). Car was re tested and it passed with no advisories. Am I right in thinking the work had been done on the 2 issues?!?
After a couple of days I heard the knocking and brake pads squeaking. Took to my garage to have a check. They said brake pads are down to metal and this suspension problem is bad. If it was MOT now it would fail. The car had driven approx 200 miles in this time. I’ve told the garage I want them to py for the work but they are fighting me.
Do we think something dodgy has gone on re the advisories being removed as I would say they have 100% not been done

It’s super frustrating as we obviously bought the car on the understanding the MOT had been done 3 weeks previous and was apparently all clear and with a FSH so we expected to not have to be paying out for at least a few months. But within weeks is ridiculous. I’m disputing this with the garage for them to cover the costs as I either wouldn’t have bought the car knowing we would have to fork out so much so close to buying or I would have negotiated the price.
