Great sounding car to replace c300

Hi PH,

A few months ago I went for a c300 coupe, was totally sold by the exterior, digital dash and a bit more poke. As times gone on I'm just not enjoying the engine/gearbox combo (9 speed auto)

Do you have any suggestions for a not crazy priced ( likely PCP 8k miles p/a) car that sounds decent and doesn't cost the earth to run?

Tax in the C is 5 or 600 a year which is crazy for a 2l, I was tempted by a 2017 Mustang GT as the costs work out about the same other than mpg but would rather cut back if I can, that then puts me back on to a MK8 ST as I've had one before and loved it.

Do you guys have any better suggestions?

I do like idea of an old boxter but I'm not that mechanically minded and would rather keep all my savings together at the moment hence the PCP.
