Hello Folks,

I currently got a 16-plate Astra (yeah, I know) Elite Nav with the 100/105ps 1.6 CDTI, currently with 112k miles on the clock (bough with 99k in Nov/20)

It is a good combination of fuel economy (66mpg on trip computer, 59mpg on the pump) and comfort (heated leather seats and steering wheel being the highlight)

I changed job recently and will start making 12k miles annually (from 8k before), so I was thinking about getting something a tiny bit larger (but not a behemoth), possibly with more space on the back seats (the kid is growing and MIL will spend more time with us from now and on), but the main objective is having some more comfortable to me.

The thing is I can't seem to find anything that would be as cheap to run, with a noticeable comfort/size difference, within a half-decent budget.

The budget is variable as I'm more concerned about the yearly Total Ownership Cost. Currently, I estimate the Astra, with the payments, servicing, and fuel costs me around £6k yearly.

Any cars I should be looking at? Ideally I'd go for less mileage (80k?), and wouldn't be too happy to get something made before 2014.
