X4 circa 2015/16

My sister in law has been looking at these for a while and after spending a few days on holiday with them it looks like nothing else is going to scratch the itch she has for one.

Issue is they only come in diesel from what I can see.

It's been a few years since I had a 20d from BMW and that did mega miles with no issues, she does 5 to 10k a year mainly short journeys, appreciate its no where near ideal for a diesel motor but whats the issues it could do to it? DPF issues I guess but would MPG suffer? a bit of looking suggests 48mpg round town? Is that likely in an X drive?

Does she do any distance drives, if she doesn't then maybe she'll need to look at other options.

Not really, I've suggested she looks for a petrol and her hubby is of the same opinion! You can get X3 in petrol so if she wants a BMW that much she will have to go with the 3 not 4!
