Move to EV and/or cheap stop gap
Discussion
Hi All,
After some advice please as I'm really undecided. Currently PCP'ing a 20 plate M340i touring which I love but it costs an arm and a leg in monthly payments and it would be nice to have some spare cash for work on our house, and perhaps a new motorbike 😛
There is about 10k equity in the car too due to the chip shortage and a bouyant market which helps.
As a petrolhead I never thought I would do this, but I test drove a Tesla model 3 today and I came away having enjoyed it - really surprised me and we can get them on our company car scheme so that is one option.
The other is to get something cheap for a while until I decide what to do next, ideally it needs to be an estate, would be nice if performance was somewhere up there given I'm now used to the M340i. I've been browsing for the following:
5th/6th gen 5 series - 535i, 520d, found a 550i yesterday!
320d touring
Mainly looking at beemers but open to other suggestions. Can probably use up the whole £10k but would be nice to have some left. It would probably just be a stop gap until I decide what to do.
Thanks!

You got one?
Waiting on finding out if the one I want can be obtained in our company car scheme, if it can then I probably will!
My Brother has a M3P in appliance white and it's a rapid thing. Quite unnerving at first when it accelerates hard and there is little to no noise. If you can get this on your company scheme then it's a no brainer IMHO.Waiting on finding out if the one I want can be obtained in our company car scheme, if it can then I probably will!

Yeah I was impressed when I test drove the base Model 3 this morning, that was plenty quick and faster 0-60 than my M340 (albeit with no drama...). M3P might be possible but it may need to be the Model Y due to needing space for the family. Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
