I'm looking at buying a used Audi Q8 but discovered it has has 4 owners since 2019 and 6 reg plate changes?
Should I avoid?
The plate situation could be innocent enough; think my car is listed as having had five plates, but three of them are the original plate, with two of the four owners to date having had private plates…Should I avoid?
I had 60k miles and many years of hassle free motoring out of a Mercedes bought quite cheaply with similar history and a few little problems I knew I could resolve for a few hundred pounds. Immediately had those jobs done, engine and trans service by an Indy and I was a very happy boy.
Some people just want what looks good on their Insta and wouldn't rag it etc. I'd just be sure to scrutinise and verify any service history, scan for codes and ensure the price reflects anything scary/in need of attention.

Was it new in 2019?
What does the service history look like?
Is the car in good overall condition?
If it was new in 2019 it could've been pre registered then became the managers car & was then finally sold.
4 owners wouldn't be an issue as long as the car had good maintenance & was in good condition.
At the end of the day you can have one owner cars that have been neglected & are basket cases.
Always buy on condition.
