E93 335i to Megane RS250/265
Discussion
Hi there,
Recently purchased a E93 335i with the N55 engine in Feb thinking I would enjoy some roof down motoring for the summer.
I’ve spent a fair amount of ££ bringing it up to a standard but have just not gelled with the car along with the daughter not enjoying when the roofs down.
So thinking about moving it on and looking at the Megane rs250/265, does anyone here have any experience with these as a daily/advice?

Not a 250/265 but I have an RS280 cup pack, very capable family wagon, 5 dr huge boot.
Almost comical the way this thing can cover ground & embarrass cars it shouldn’t.
Switchable modes, I either have it in sport or race.
MPG over two & half years just seeing 30 day to day, long runs obviously better.
Mines the dark grey so not shouty & blends in.

I've had 3 x Megane 250 Cup's. Various specs from standard to more track orientated. Absolutely brilliant cars, even out the box they are capable (even alongside today's hot hatches).
Covered over 100k miles between them all and none let me down, so they are pretty robust. All 3 were daily drivers and would have another in a heartbeat.
Make sure you get the Cup, or a Cup packed car for the LSD and all the rest. They suffer from sticky thermostats and suspension is perhaps a little heavy maintenance wise due to the design of the swivels etc. Factor in a belt/dephaser service into the price should this need done (5yrs/60k IIRC).
Oh and the optional Recaro CS seats in these are a real selling point, and is a really good seat too.

Thanks guys.
Is there any tell tell signs if its a cup car?
Red Brembo calipers (standard chassis has grey/silver calipers), grooved/slotted discs (standard has plain discs) and if it a genuine Cup then it'll have Cup logo on the door pillars. Is there any tell tell signs if its a cup car?
Having said that, most people just run plain discs on them now and you could obviously paint the calipers. Best way to tell is manually checking LSD or checking with Renault.
There are other changes but these are most obvious at a quick glance.
