BMW 5 SERIES 2006 (56 reg) 523i SE 2.5

I’ve found a good looking BMW 5 Series in SE spec but with a lot of options including a Manual Gearbox and LPG system fitted. Any advice on it to would be great:

Says "advert no longer available". I'd recommend going for an LCI 5 series though, 57 plate or later. Quite a few improvements on the diesel models at that time, not sure about the petrol models.

Wouldn’t have thought you could go wrong at that price if it drives well. Love how the dealer describes it as top of the range.

Any areas to look out for? I’ve also never had a car with LPG. So any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That does look like a bit of a bargain.

I had a 2007 525d tourer, bought at 94k miles, sold at not far off 130k.
It never actually left me stranded, but I did have a few problems:

Rear air suspension compressor stopped working, which turned out to be a £13 relay. DIY fix.
Wiper linkage broke, fixed by main dealer for less than £200.
Tailgate glass latch microswitch failed, meaning glass kept opening while driving. DIY fix for about £25.
Battery died, cost about £250 fitted and coded.
AC compressor didn't work when I bought the car, fixed under warranty. Very expensive if I had to pay for it.

A common fault with these is the wiring between the tailgate and roof. Check that everything works at the back of the car, including the antenna for the remote locking. DIY fix if you are handy with a soldering iron. Very expensive at a main dealer.
Check for any signs of water under the boot floor and spare wheel tray.

One issue that I never managed to get to the bottom of was front brake judder under very light braking.
