NEW LEASE CAR? DEALER SAVING ME MONEY?! I THINK NOT
Discussion
Hey Everyone,
New here & need someone genuine advice, going to keep it sweet & simple, seen a lease car I am interested (first time leasing) contacted the dealer & was given a quote:
Quote 1: £12,750 - over 2 years - no dealer contribution, 23 months £450 with an initial of £2400
Quote 2: £12,605 - over 2 years includes a dealer contribution of £720 - £435 with an initial rental of £3332 initial I pay is £2612
the only difference I am seeing'ing is of £145, from what I can tell is they have just crunched the number's differently & the £720 dealer contribution is just for paper?!
any help or advise would be helpful

No idea on lease deals but Option 1 is far cheaper in a world with 10% inflation.New here & need someone genuine advice, going to keep it sweet & simple, seen a lease car I am interested (first time leasing) contacted the dealer & was given a quote:

That is a little strange. I’ve had dealer contributions on lease cars before. They do work a little different than when purchasing a car on finance.New here & need someone genuine advice, going to keep it sweet & simple, seen a lease car I am interested (first time leasing) contacted the dealer & was given a quote:

My latest had a £1200 contribution, which was paid directly into my bank account before the car was delivered, and before any money had been paid by me. For a couple of weeks I was an Audi A6 and £1200 up!
I would query it, but they are under no obligation to pass on all the contribution to you.
Alternatively, try and find another broker or dealer that will.

check whether the dealer contribution of £720 is a rebate given back to you on the 1st month ie. paid direct to your bank a/c
have checked it is given back to me via bank transfer within 48 hours, still don't understand how they are saving me money when clearly the rebate just seems to be on paperHam_and_Jam said:

have queried it with no response just avoidance of the question, however in the current climate I might just take a bullet on it as I do need the car & car's are hard to come by now daysMy latest had a £1200 contribution, which was paid directly into my bank account before the car was delivered, and before any money had been paid by me.
