Lowest loading estate car

Evening,

Has anyone experienced a very low loading estate car (medium / large) ?

Looking to pack x 2 dogs (small / medium) and would like to minimise impact jumping into / out of .

Budget not a major issue.

Rather than buying a car which you don't want, rather then the car of your dreams, why not invest in a small folding ramp that the dogs can walk up and down?

Citroën C5 (if 2007 onwards then make sure it's at least the Exclusive trim).

I had two of them as hatchbacks, and being able to lower the car (and the boot loading) did come in very handy.

And very, very comfortable to drive.

Folding ramp would be my answer then the world is your oyster or you keep the car you have.

When we decided to take up camping, I started looking at estates and then decided that the cheaper option was a roof box since most of the time we didn’t need the extra space

Fair point - my issue is that I spend 90% of my time in Spain. Parking on street or in car parks is always a tight affair so the ramp option isn't practical for the everyday stuff unfortunately.

Or V90 if you need a little more room.
Also the V90 has been on sale longer so you should have more choice and they'll be cheaper ones around.

Last year after having had always 4x4 for my dogs I purchased a Mercedes E350 Estate its boot is really low below my knee and so very easy for my dogs to jump in and out, it is perfect and huge.

Oh, and it's a great car and fast, fugal also far better than the option above.

I’ve got the V60 Cross Country. It has a bit more ground clearance, so a bit higher, but the dogs get in and out no bother. You do need a bumper protector though to stop scuffs when they land short.

More mpv than estate but my Honda Stepwagon has a low loading floor.
