Used Car Listings - Why so much rubbish in the listing?
Discussion
What's with the habit of listing cars for sales, and including trivial information that includes standard equipment that all models will have?
I know that the car has Anti-lock braking system ...... all cars do
I know that the car has Body-colour door handles ....... I can see that
I don't need you to list that it has a Trip computer ....... my bicycle has one of those these days
Why are you listing "Configurable Ambient Interior Lighting, Configurable Ambient Lighting," as two things??
I don't think that Contrast stitching needs its own entry in the listing
I thought that a locking fuel filler is an MOT requirement for all cars, so Fuel filler flap (central locking) isn't necessary

Am I the only one that finds this lazy and puts me off enquiring about a car??

I think on AutoTrader it has options you can tick and it just pulls that into the advert.
I do know what you mean OP, sometimes it's nice to read an ad that's actually been thought about and typed out by the owner. Although that can be a fine line between a nicely written ad and one full of cr*p like with terms like, 'fully loaded' and 'immaculate', when it clearly isn't!
