Old engine oil

I am looking to find out which car run’s best on old engine oil.

Ah, black diesel.

Presumably the same rules for running on SVO etc, you want the least fussy old diesel engine you can find.

I have a small holding, I use a car to tow most things about within the small holding so I thought it would be cheaper if I could run an old car on engine oil.

Old thing mid 90’s at the latest with mechanical injection. Old vw 2.4d/1.9td Peugeot 1800 diesels

Not aware of how well they run on used oil but they run well on veg oil

The old Peugeot 1.9 diesel engine would happily run on veg oil, you had to be careful there was a locus and a Bosch pump but only one of them was ok on veg oil.

How many miles can you do running towing stuff around a small holding?

I was thinking about that earlier... I seem to recall a lack of lubricity was the issue with the fuel pump and SVO. Whereas even depleted engine oil will, by nature, be a good lubricant.

I suggest you deal with the leaky engines.

If it used (legitimately) off the road then just buy red diesel and save yourself the hassle.
