Car for the better half
Discussion
After the first car I bought 2nd hand from a main dealer about 10 years ago, I haven't had anything except a lease through my business. Currently awaiting a Tesla Model 3.
Need to find a care for the better half which she'll be using for work on a daily basis (although not huge motorway miles - driving around in the community). She's not bothered about what she gets. Budget wise, she could stretch to £7k on a second hand car, or alternatively she's happy to lease something that is 12+47 for about £150 to £200 a month, and also in-stock.
What should I be looking at? To be completely honest, I'm useless when it comes to this because I just chose the car I want and go for whatever lease there is. I don't usually hunt for the best deals...
Using LeaseLoco this comes up: https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasing/vauxhall/cor...
What alternatives should I look at? On my list is:
Hyundai i20
Seat Ibiza
Ford Fiesta
VW Polo
Audi A1
Skoda Fabia
Toyota Yaris
I'd ideally send her to a main dealer, but I don't think paying that premium is going to be worth it.
One alternative is to use somewhere like Cazoo and hire purchase/PCP a slightly more expensive car over 48 months.

If you want something smart & sensible for around 7k then the Astra GTC is a very good pick:
