Audi TT S-Line on 20s - Ride quality?

I have the option to secure a new Audi TT Coupe S-line (black edition) with 20's.

Does anyone have a Mk3 TT with S-line suspension and 20's care to share your thoughts on the ride quality?

I know its going to by very firm, but is it liveable, or crashing and harsh?

Should think it would be ok, but ride quality can be subjective. Best to take it for a drive yourself to see what you think.

Sadly, circumstances don't permit a test drive on this occasion.

My brother has the previous model in the spec you describe. It was perfectly bearable but he fitted a set of smaller winter wheels and never bothered fitting the 20s again. Can't remember if they were 17s or 18s but they transformed the car - much more pleasant and less lead footed and crashy.

It's bearable on a TTS where you have adaptive suspension but adaptive suspension is optional on a standard TT so the ride for me is the wrong side of livablee. YMMV so definitely give it a long test drive. It is much much firmer than a Golf R on 19's for example.

Literally test drove one of these a week ago with 20s on. Wonder if it’s the same car…

It was absolutely fine, wasn’t crashy. It was exactly as I imagined it would be.

I don't mind firm, or even very firm, what I don't want is harsh and crashing where you wince expecting bits to fall off over every bump like I experienced with a Cerebra once.
