Purely with an investment lens - what car would you buy new to store and leave for 5 years with a budget of up to 50k ?

Cheers

I can’t see any mainstream car sub £50k will be worth more in 5 years even if stored and unused.
Something like a Caterham, Aerial atom or Morgan may, should they cease trading.

None. Regularly, things like miniscule mileage MGBs crop up in classic car mags. Sometimes even more mundane stuff like Maestros. When you factor in the 40 years of so of keeping them dry and serviceable it does not make sense. Maybe a little more chance of a profit with a fast Ford, but even that is unconvincing as an "investment."

Anything limited in numbers and desirable .

That grmn Yaris if they offered it to U.K. market as an example.

From last decade :
M3 csl
Mk2 FRS 500

Those type of cars.

However, generally nothing special starts south of 50k nowadays.
