New car delivered, missing part of it's standard spec
Discussion
Hello,
I'm after a bit of advice here please.
I took delivery of my new Skoda last week, I only got to check it over fairly briefly before it rained for several days but I've now done a thorough inspection and have discovered a couple of minor faults plus more seriously scratches and scuffing to the two B pillar plastic covers and majorly it's missing the rear parking sensors which should be a standard fit on the car at the factory!
Now as it's part of the standard spec the seller hasn't messed up by not ordering an extra and according to Skoda's brochures both before during and after it was ordered and built the rear parking sensors remain standard fit on the car so they haven't changed the spec either, so the sensors should be fitted. The car is sat sitting on the drive where it was delivered (I have driven it nowhere). What are my options, I'm happy with the car otherwise so I really don't want to reject it but can I demand that the rear sensors be fitted? I know it is possible to have them fitted and coded in by other companies but I don't know yet if Skoda will do it or maybe rather what high price they might want to charge for doing so!
(If it's of any relevance I didn't buy direct from a dealership I sourced via a broker and they introduced me to the seller, who I have the contract with, who ordered the vehicle through a fleet sales company.)
Would appreciate any advice.
Robert
