Help, 10k weekend toy.

So I've sold my insane turbo 205 gti, kinda by accident. But it's the right time for me s I'll never stop modding it an chasing more power.

I thought I wanted a Megane R26, however a customer of mine has a 208gti by Peugeot sport. That has no right to be that nice.
What have I missed?
Few criteria
3 seats minimum
Comfy enough to drive to the ring/Alps a (205 turbo on koni sports is too much for the Mrs to go long distance in)
Trackable
Preferably an LSD
These are the two I've seen.

The 1st is the Astra GTC VXR, the switchable shocks will make the drive to the ring a breeze & then when you get to the Ring you can switch them up & let the chassis/suspension/LSD do their thing:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202209109...
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202208188...
The 2nd choice is the Megane RS250/265 with the Cup Chassis but whilst these are a better track car the VXR is the better all rounder:

In joint third are the DS3 Racing:

& PS 208 GTI:

I've already got that one saved, there's a grey 250 with leather recaros to but I'm really not a fan of the the mk3. It's not a looker. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202208309...

Does the Ds3 have an LSD? I know it's basically the same as a 208 but thought it was nearer the normal gti.
I should give the Vauxhall the benefit of the doubt. I'm not sure what I don't like about it. It's alot of car for the money.

It's pretty much the only one for sale

You should give the VXR more than the benefit of doubt & actually test drive one you may well be very surprised

Hi looks great ive always like these but been scared off by the reliability of the 1.6 engine. Are they really that bad and did the newer models get improved at all ? If you buy one is there anything preventative you can do to prevent failure ? Thanks
Like everthing on the internet you need to take them with a pinch of saltI have a Mini JCW but shares the same engine, mine is a N18 2012 onwards engine ive had no issues in the 105k the car has done
Earlier engines seem more troublesome
its a wicked little thing not, my usual thing at all.
its quick enough, I wouldn't say it was that fast though but my sense of speed its warped. the 205 gti its replaced was 250bhp with 260lbft. and a good 200/300 kg lighter.
plans are just sort a couple of niggly bits, and enjoy it. hoping to get on a few track days and maybe out to the ring. I absolutely love the way it drives the the front end grip, is insane. and you can get the rear axle to rotate with some lift off. its actually pretty ludicrous considering its a road car.
i love the colour too, looks cracking with the black.
is any car reliable? chain tensioners and intake carbon build up seen to be the only real bugbares. planning to fit a proper catch can set up to reduce the crud going in. I'm a ways off worrying about the chain. and they start to rattle when there on the way out.
