vcheck shows mileage discrepancy, what should do?

Good evening everyone
I have just seen a great Golf R 7.5 - 17 plate in super rare Grey 3 door with leather guise and the mileage is 8,007k yes 8,007k from new ( i am thinking to good to be true ) at the price £25,499
All Golf R"s with 10,000 or less that i have seen on AT are £28,000 to £31,000
i quickly left a £150 refundable deposit with the vendor online to hold the car for 48 hours as its far from where i am 228 miles ( London to Preston )
So i do a quick Vcheck and to my horror a mileage discrepancy shows up and i do not really understand what this means
any advice ?

Mileage looks a bit odd, current owner had since Sept 17, only done 150 or so miles between the last MOT tests.
I’d guess that it did a bulk of the miles in the first 4 months as a demo or something like that, current owner has done very little miles.
Still looks decent.

'Unreadable' could be the cause of the discrepancy? Its done very little mileage between tests also.

A guess obviously, but it was due its first MOT at the height of the pandemic. Maybe got extended automatically by a garage without mileage confirmation although it was then MOTd less than a month later at 7629. Could have been a PCP hand back when the MOT was due, someone put it through the system, then it was tested again when it sold?
The low mileage after could be someone who works from home and the car wasn't getting use, hence now for sale.
Could ask the garage if they have the Service history and see what that shows?

The extensions were done automatically by the DVLA showing zero miles, my 17 plate car had exactly the same The low mileage after could be someone who works from home and the car wasn't getting use, hence now for sale.

The first MOT with the 0 miles will be a dummy one automatically added to the system for the 6 month Covid extension. As the car was not actually tested they wouldn't be able to put in a mileage.
Not everyone took advantage of the 6 month extension and got their car tested when due, hence the real test one month later.

I suspect the actual mileage is much higher.
A friend of mine did 227 miles and 189 miles between his last 2 mot tests. Focus RS. Some people just don’t do the miles I suspect the actual mileage is much higher.

It happens, a mate of mine bought a brand new Golf Gti then got sick so hardly drove it and then sadly passed away I suspect the actual mileage is much higher.
Due to the circs of his death probate took nearly two years where the car sat in another mate’s barn unused till it was all sorted out.
It was about 4 years old and didn’t have more than a few hundred miles on it
