7-seater used prices

I've got two kids aged 2 & 4, and now have twins on the way. We currently have a 2010 Golf TDI estate which has been fine, but is going to be too small for six and I don't want to go down the Multimac route.
As it's going to be a workhorse and always full of kids who will drop food in it/spill drinks in it/vomit in it/piss in it, I don't really want to spend more than low teens, if I can help it. However, a look at the classifieds reveals my market to be various leggy Tourans and the odd Jap import Sharan.
Can anyone recommend something I might not have thought of? I'm not averse to something from leftfield, in fact if I could get a mk1 Multipla in kermit green with an auto box, I wouldn't be posting this.
Twins are due in April, so will probably come around March, so I'm not in a rush but equally don't have time to wait for anything new.

Personally I'd go for the Hyundai.
With 4 kids that need child seats in would got for a full size MPV and not one where you have to fold a seat down to get to the rear seats as you will have to remove a car seat each time. Not only that with boot seats in almost permanent use on a Touran sized 6 seater you won't have enough boot space. That leaves you in the Galaxy, Sharan, Alhambra place or the van based 7-9 seaters.
Need a budget to work on but my impression is seven seaters can increase in price just before the summer holidays presumably with families welcoming visiting relatives so probably not a bad time to be looking now. Also need to decide how long you will keep it - most seven seaters in practice only have very small third row seats for use in an emergency which otherwise fold away to create a bigger boot. You couldn't stick an adult on for going more than around the corner, and you might struggle to fit small children once you've strapped them into child seats and put them on the rear bench either. Your still on the way twins will have teenage length legs sooner than you think! Some are four wheel drive or SUVs - think Nissan Qashcai plus 2, Mitubishi Outlander or Shogun Elegance spec, all of which can be found with leather seats .Then there's the Prius Plus if you want an economic hybrid.
For three rows of full size seats you are pretty much into the Alhambra/Sharan (same car, different badge) and the Galaxy. The Alhambra seems to be the one that is most likely to be found with leather seats which is a must with small children, and the sliding doors (especially if motorised) are a huge plus for car parks (speaking from experience of owning one). But not all that cheap to buy unless willing to go for silly miles ex taxi.
Going off piste, grey import Japanese things like Nissan El Grands, Honda Stepwagons and Toyota Alphards might be worth a shout - on Autotrader search for minimum 6 seats, petrol to find them.
If you can manage with six full size armchairs don't forget the Mercedes R class (four wheel drive too).
