Test drives, EV’s.

Hi all,
I’m looking to sign in to my companies salary sacrifice scheme for my next family wagon. Leading on paper is the polestar 2. We just had a test drive ( they bring it to your house, couldn’t have been much easier), and I was pretty impressed, though it’s not the biggest car in the world.
Does anyone know how best to get some hands on time with some other cars in the class ( Tesla model y, Audi E-tron, maybe even a taycan sport turismo), without bluffing a dealer. I’m a bit loathe to walk into a dealership to grab a test drive, knowing full well I’m going to lease it through my companies scheme.
Maybe renting one for the day is the answer? Anyone else been through this.

Tesla probably don't care as they sell direct to the public so don't have the same "dealer" network/mentality so it doesn't matter where you buy from. I'd just be honest with them...

Taycan as a family wagon? Your list of EVs seems a bit scattershot.
Anyway, dealers are generally a
holes and you'll need to tell a white lie. Just tell them their car is on your shortlist, they'll normally oblige and won't be as pushy to seal a finance deal on the spot.
My favourite test drive was the BMW iX3. Fantastic drive - one of the best handling SUVs - upmarket interior compared to VW and Audi Q4 eTron. Ordered one in M Sport Pro which has all the options including HUD and pano roof.
Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq, Jaguar iPace all worth a look.

I really enjoyed it. I’m coming from an x3 myself, so quite comparable. It’s not the biggest car in the world, it looks bigger on paper than it feels inside. It’s quite high waisted, my other half found it a little cocoon feeling. Driving wise, controls are predictably lacking in a bit of feel, blah blah usual new car stuff.
Performance wise, I think even coming from a 40i engined car you are going to raise an eye brow at a duel motor polestar. To my standards it was ballistic. Polestar claim I think 4.7 to 60, but they kind of roll off the line which I think blunts that stay a bit. The 20-50mph performance was staggering to me, I read somewhere it’s sub 2 seconds 20-50mph, which I can believe.
Lovey inside too, really nice place to sit.

Scattergun isn’t a bad description, it’s being led by a large degree by the offers available through the salsac company. A base taycan CT is the marginally cheaper than an e-tron 55 for example, and only about 90 quid a month more than the the ix3 you have ordered on my scheme. Anyway, dealers are generally a

IPace is also expensive, the ioniq is amazing looking, and also a bit jarring for me!
Ev6 is a great shout I had kind of forgotten about though, I’ll take a look
