Resale advice

Looking for some advice from any knowledgeable traders on here. I have the option of a brand new RRS 440e or new M5comp, after discount on the M5 both cars are coming out at similar money. I don’t plan on keeping the car for more than 18 months, so I’m trying to work out which is likely to hold its value better over that time frame. My head says the new model RRS, any advice appreciated and I fully accept this is a first world problem, I’m a lucky boy.

Neither in one way, it’s a bit of stop gap so resale is the overriding consideration. If it was a keeper the M5.

I'd say the M5 will depreciate less but may be a harder sell depending on where the economy is at, the RRS will have a bigger pool of potential buyers but is a regular model so will depreciate more.

For me I'd take the M5 with the view that it may take a couple of months to move on.

Lease costs could be a bit of proxy to the cost over 18 months...


A quick scan via select leasing suggests the following for 24-month leasing (3 months, 5k miles per year)

M5 Comp - £64k
RRS 440e - £28k

Although on a personal level I'd take the M5 im.convinced the best bet for resale.would be the Rangerover Sport
