£3-5k for a car - Civic or CRZ? Petrol or Hybrid?
Discussion
Hi forum
Basically, I drive between 250-400 miles a month.
I need a car, but needs to be on the cheaper side.
I was looking heavily at Honda Civics - I was willing to spent about £3,500 - £4k at an absolute push. Found a nice 2008 one for £3k so provisionally could consider that (FSH, 75k miles, good condition) and then spend about £500 on Apple Carplay etc.
However, the Honda CRZ has been bought to my attention and they're Hybrid. A bit uglier, but looks like I can get a 2011 one with decent mileage and SH for £5k.
How much more effective are they likely to be on fuel? If I'm doing say 400 miles per month does anyone have any idea of how much I'm likely to get to the Gallon? I don't often drive on motorways, I'd estimate maybe 20% max motorway miles.
I've never driven a hybrid so just looking for some guidance
Any guidance would be appreciated
