Replacing 2 sporty cars with 1 sport car
Discussion
The OH has suggested my beloved E92 M3 is sold and I replace the RS Q3 with something I actually want to drive .. to be honest the only other car I like is the new-shape Q3 RS / RS3 hatchback. Or do I scratch the M2 Competition itch?
The M3 has now gone to auction and my budget should be around 50k. I don't want to spend more on something that will at most do 3k miles a year. I did look at an SQ2 / Golf R as I like compact cars but the Q3 seems the right size for the urban jungle without upsetting the eco-warriors(!)
P.S. Nothing with an Alfa badge .. :-)

If you can afford it then I personally wouldn't go from to 2 cars to only 1. If you do have to go down to 1 car though, then I reckon that the M2 Comp is definitely a really good choice.
We have 4 cars between us (including a fettled MX-5 which is literally a toy that is hidden away on occasions) but just seems a waste to have 2 cars for myself and seem to have less time to drive nowdays. I do wish I had a double garage but in London such things are a luxury. M2 Comp .. hmm .. i do always check them out on Autotrader. Here are some probably quite unsuitable suggestions, but I had fun looking anyway

At 50k as good as the M2 Competition is there's no way I'd be buying over the M3 Competition
but it's nice to have the choice.

Good shout - however even if the M4 CS has a bit more power (and 'CS' badging) I prefer the slightly smaller M2 Comp. The M2 CS is already priced as another collectors car. Sigh.
I'd suggest test driving a CS & then the M2, you may find yourself surprised by the CS it's a clear step on from the competition chassis wise.Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
