2010-2012 Astra J 1.4T money pit?

I have a budget of up to £4000 for a white good with OK power. The car in the title pops up in my searches every now and then, would it be a reliable buy? I've read one comment here saying this particular model likes to 'eat turbos', so I'm not sure. Can't really have the diesel variant as my commute is only 5 miles each way unless the diesels don't have a dpf.
My other option would be a zetec fiesta or focus, probably the 1.6 to at least get a sub 11 second 0 to 60. Has anyone owned said Astra? Anything in particular to look for when viewing?
