I test drove a 2017 facelift Ceed 5 door GT last week. Great car, unfortunately the seat position gave me a dead leg after 20 mins. Shame, as I really liked it otherwise.
My next door neighbour has one and loves it, had a Golf GTi mk5 prior to it and prefers the Kia. Shes annoyed that they don't have an equivalent Kia now, so is going to hang on a bit longer, She looked at the i30n but thought it was a bit OTT.We have a 2015 GT Line. Obviously not as fast, but everything else is the same (other than the wheels)
Real nice car, only a couple of minor niggles during ownership (seatbelt gets stuck, and TPMS can play up)
Only thing I would say, 2017+ got the CarPlay touchscreen, and you can't update the older one, unless you replace the whole unit with an aftermarket one.
Ours is a 5 door to have the kids in, but I would certainly consider a 3 door for myself!

They're very good cars & great value, if you want more of a drivers car chassis wise then also take a look as the 1.6T Astra GTC 200/180, they come with the same suspension set up as the VXR (minus the adjustable dampers) version:

Being an owner of a 1.6T 5dr, I'd probably go for the Kia.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202210271...

The 1.6T Astra doesn't get the same suspension setup as the GTC & VXR, it's a much more basic spec & if I'd take a Ceed/ProCeed GT over one of those too.Silvanus said:
I can only comment on the SRi we have not sure exactly how the 3 door and 5 door suspension set-up differs. I'd assumed the same trim levels were the same. VXR obviously different.
Nope the 1.6t & VXR get the HiPer strut strut suspension (it's basically the same as the Revo Knuckle set up found on the Megane RS Cup cars) set up, the 1.4T Astra GTC & 5 door Astra's don't get it.Yorkshire_LY said:
These have really surprised me after looking on Autotrader - look really good imo, nice power around 200 bhp,and stacked full of features for around £8-9k the used prices atm.
Anyone own one or have one?
They are decent, only thing I'll say is they are quite heavy and not very fast for a car with 200 bhpAnyone own one or have one?
