Evening guys, hope all is well and everyone has had a good Christmas!

I am in a dilemma with insurance, I am 21 and going to collect NCD with my current provider on 19/1/2023.
I am looking at buying a car before my insurance ends and selling my current car (AUDI A3) - (Toyota Celica 7th gen)

I cannot afford to buy the new car without selling my current one, and insurance will not insure me on the celica.
Is there a way to sell the current car or (PX) , and still keep the insurance valid until I receive my NCD, and then starting a policy with the new car. Is this illegal? As I am withholding information from insurance, or is it fine?

I am just being impatient and a decent deal has come around with the exact specs I am after, and as the Celica becomes rarer by the day I am not sure whether another as good will pop up.

Any sort of help is much appreciated.

Many Thanks
Riley

The simple answer is to do the deal on the new car and sell your old one but tell the dealer you are on holiday or going on holiday and can’t collect it until the 19th.

Then get a new insurance policy with someone else and your ncd intact.

So I can sell the car and keep the insurance, and claim NCD?

Probably not the best move to continue to insure a car you no longer own or have any control over.

If you dont own the car don't have insurance on it.

If the new owner doesn't get insurance and crashes, its possible for a third party to make a claim on your policy.

I actually meant part exchange it and collect
On 19th then you have a ncd and get the car you want.
