Hi,

I am very unexpectedly without a car.

Started looking but hitting a bit of a block.

Old car was a 59 plate Xsara Picasso. It didn’t owe me a thing, especially when kids where little… hence just kept hold of it whilst other half got newer vehicles.

Since COVID working changes only doing 6k miles a year. However I have a feeling that may change soon, so could be back to previous mileage of 13k.

Need a reasonable amount of room in the back, since my son isn’t the shortest and there is no signs that’s slowing down.

Don’t do masses of motorway miles, bar days out and holidays.

I normally buy from savings, but this year the money is already earmarked for other house related stuff. Buying budget would be reduced to approx 10k, possibly might venture into 2 year lease allowing for a bigger buying budget at that point.

Looked at SUV’s, possibly an estate.

Any and all thoughts welcomed.

Thanks

Hi,

Found a local garage that has a

Kadjar 1.3 TCe Signature 2018, 26000 miles

And a
Kuga 1.5T EcoBoost Zetec 2019 38000 miles

£400 in it (Kuga more expensive)

Any thoughts? Any warnings or recommendations?

The Kuga is Sync 3 which got me thinking about adding a reverse camera given lack of parking sensors, but no big deal, can’t see that being overly expensive.

Thanks in advance.

The Kuga is the better car, the extra torque from the 1.5T suits those type of cars better, I'm guessing the Kadjar has a higher spec.
