It’s probably one for the Commercial thread this but as that site doesn’t get many visitors I’ll ask here..

Are there any deals or offers on the panel vans? I borrowed a 72plate 150hp DSG 130 Highline and was surprised how well it drove.

I’ve spec’d one up on the VW site but it’s coming in a bit pricey

I’d like a 204hp SWB panel van with a few extras like towing etc. I can reclaim the VAT but it’s still bit pricey for a bloody van

I'd be looking at the Vito L1. Not so many options available but i guess it depends what you want but they are a lot more comfortable with the ride. They do a 193hp Premium spec which is a similar starting point.

Thanks but I don’t want a Mercedes. I’ve got an X-Class 350d and it’s very unreliable.

Doubt youl find any deals due to the well known issue of getting hold of new stock.

Just before Xmas I was asked to look for a van for a friend of mine he ended up with a Maxus Deliver9 Lux it drove well & was well spec'd the engine pulled well to.

The 5 Year 125k warranty swung it for him & the fact the dealer is only 6 miles from him, no auto box though.

It wasn't quite as good as the Transit Custom 180 he was also considering but once he saw the price difference (spec for spec) hes saw it as a no brainer.

You'll be used to going in and out of the dealers then when the Transporter keeps breaking down.
