Trade in two cars?

Anyone ever traded in two cars for a new one?

I've thought about this a few times, I guess the first step is to ask the seller, but following to see if anyone has useful insight.

Never had an issue, done it once with two older bmws for another more expensive bmw, and my dad used to do it quite a lot back in the day as he and often bought matching his and hers cars and traded both. Lots more options to sell nowadays though so I would trade one and sell one online or privately unless they will match the we buy any... type price or they are both cars they might retail themselves.

With a dealer once yes - Ford Focus and a TT - for an M3.

Similar to me and I traded the 520d/Z4M at the main dealer for an M3 10 years ago.

Another similar experience - I traded a Z4M + E46 330Ci when getting a newer BMW from a main dealer.

I have probably asked this question before - do you turn up with car 1, get an exact valuation, a book value for car 2, and then return with car 2?

In my case it was a long time ago and certainly pre WBAC and the like and I had also bought other new cars from the same dealer but from memory I took over the TT agreed the partex price and left it there.
I at the same time then agreed the partex figure on the Focus and drove that back to him when I picked up the M3.

Yes we did this last year, traded in 2 cars plus some cash for a new (to us) car at main dealer.

I once p/exd a MK1 Focus RS and a van for a new pick up truck.
At that particular stage of my life, things were dull.

I did this in 2017, Mini were running a kind of scrappage scheme, we px’d a 2004 Saab 9-5 estate plus a 2011 Mini Clubman & drove away in a brand new Mini convertible from a Mini main dealer.
