OK,Im fast approaching 40 and id like to do it right so I have two vehice options.

A

Stay as i am with a practical Panda and an aging Honda supersport bike ( which could be updated)

or B

Sell the current 'fleet' and swap them both for a 2006-2014 era MX5.

What would be your choice?

option b is closest, but an mx5 is far too sensible a choice. i'd suggest a TVR of some description.

then when you reach 50, you'll be into old jaaaaaaaaag territory.

Why not keep the Panda and get an MX5 or similar....?
Panda gives the 4 seat hatchback versatility, MX5 has unlimited headroom...

Glad it wasn’t just me, I assumed it was going to be a hyacinths bucket lady asking for an appropriate car for someone of the stature of a ‘Mam’.

Was thinking a late 90s xj but could t work out the panda and mx5 link.

Keep the Panda, upgrade the bike.

I bought a reasonably pokey car before I started with bikes, really regret it now as car does 20mpg and no where near as quick or fun as the bike. Car has become a tool, bike is for fun.

Which one do you use the most ?

That would be the one I would replace.

40 is not middle aged motorist territory, you've got another 10 years yet before the Rover 25 and Panama hat on the parcel shelf !

To that end, keep the Panda, and get a Polestar 2, and Yamaha R1.

It's simple upgrade the bike to something more modern that you'll use more.

Wild hogs rule!

40 is far too young for a mid life crisis.

I love the guy's videos recently but gotta be done biggrin

Also I think I know of at least one or more haha, so you may be right.

Was going round car shopping with my dad last week and he kept pointing out a 124 Spider or MX5 when he saw one. I don't know how serious to take it though biggrin
