Range Rover v Discovery comparison
Discussion
Mums looking at replacing her L322 Range Rover with something around the 30k mark, dont even suggest other brands.
She was settled on a L405 Range Rover which is a early 2013/4ish 4.4 with sub 100k miles. I have one on 169k miles and she likes it.
However she did wonder about a sport and velar so went down to the local dealer to see what they are like. Quickly wrote it off as being mix of too small, uncomfy seats, wont tow 3.5 ton, not air suspension standard (think this is what she said) and a few other annoyances between them both to discount them.
In the corner was a 2017 Disco with the cream leather, heated seats etc. These are non negotiable requirements in a car for her. She didnt have time to test drive it but sat in it and was happy enough with the interior.
This means for the same money you get a much newer and generally lower miles car which still is cream, heated seats/wheel, 4x4, air suspension, tows 3.5 ton etc.
Has anyone else been in this position or owned both and can give some advise on how the Disco differs from the Range Rover? Running costs are not important as it will never see a dealer again and be maintained/repaired at home.
