My wife's new car is being delivered to the dealer this month, we were expecting it in May. She's happy to take delivery this month, I've said wait until March so that it will be a 23 plate, but she's not bothered. Would it make any difference come resale time ? It's Land Rover Discovery Sport.

Yes, will make a small difference to the value

With 2 plate changes yearly I would doubt the difference would be huge and also depends on how long she is keeping it.

Get it now and next month new reg cars come out. I'd wait 3 weeks longer.

She's decided to wait, it's only three weeks. She's fed up with driving about on the crap roads in my car.

Don’t think the new reg plate is as significant these days.

My new car arrived at the dealer this week, not taking it until mid-end March. They’ve assigned a 72 plate to it, ah well.

Maybe they've had to register it to meet some target or whatever - have you checked when the warranty starts?

I don't think they've even got it yet. Mind you she ordered it in June and wasn't expecting it until May.
