Brother in laws car is starting to gecome a money pit.
What would you consider a good replacement for it.
Circa 8000 miles a year
Petrol
Pref 5 door
Similar size to A3
They are not really car people so ŕeĺiability is top of the list.
Maybe Hyundai or Kia offer the gest value?
Budget let's say £15000.

I'd suggest your brother in law takes a good look at the 1.6T Insignia VX Line SRI Nav 200, they're a great family car & come with Android Auto/CarPlay as standard as well as a spacious place to be.
