A gem from facebook:
"Once upon a time, there was a Silver 2006 Audi A4 2.0 TDI that enjoyed a fabulously simple life.
It did what all cherished cars love to do. It drove its owner around town, went out running errands, and loved going to work.
The owners always wanted something that would turn heads and make a statement. That's why they purchased this sleek silver Audi.
With its alloy wheels and cloth seats, this car was not only stylish, but also practical and comfortable. The climate control was perfect for those hot summer days and the diesel engine ensured excellent fuel efficiency.
But it wasn't just the features that made this car special. It was the way it made the driver feel. They felt confident and in control behind the wheel. They felt like they were part of a secret society of cool people who knew what it was to drive a high-quality, German-engineered machine.
The car's four doors were the cherry on top. It meant the driver could take their friends and family on adventures, and leave the boring, bland cars in the dust.
Now, it's your turn to be the driver and continue this story. Don't settle for a car that just gets you from A to B. Treat yourself to this fabulous 2006 Audi A4 2.0 TDI and start writing the next chapter of your own story of style, luxury, and adventure.

This car has been well-maintained and serviced regularly. It has only been driven 123 900 miles, which is relatively low for a vehicle of this age."

Has anyone seen a more verbose flowery description of a dull 2L base model diesel rep mobile?

The owner wanted to make a statement and turn heads so bought a silver A4 diesel. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

They have certainly made a statement trying to sell the A4. Not sure it's the one they set out to, however.

I assume so, too. It’s not the worst ad as the prose style has many qualities of a children’s story. The Audi is personified. Yes, of course one can mock as may be the intention but the ad is much better than illiteracy, riddled with capitals on ads for “cheapies” set against a drab, sometimes grim background, where the seller hasn’t even taken a few shots at the local park. A variant of this is set outside a new build type “ executive” home with a little gravel replacing the front lawn. Fortunately users of this forum will see round this and assess the car on its own merits.

I love the "They felt like they were part of a secret society of cool people who knew what it was to drive a high-quality, German-engineered machine." part.

It's 17 years old and has a tractor engine....

Anyway, the best car advert ever is actually an Audi advert. Interesting that the very people they were taking the micky out of became the exact type of people that buy Audis.

It's obviously not a serious advert. I quite like it.

^^^^^^I've always thought this. The invention of the S-Line trim ruined* Audi.

For Sale

A Car. It has four wheels. All are circles. They turn round and round.
It has an engine - It is boring, characterless, costs a fortune to run and smells bad.
It has seats - you place your bum on them. They are cloth. They smell like a*rse.
It has a body so you stay dry in the rain. Except when you open the doors. That lets rain in. As do some of the holes around it. Where the tape has come off.
It has a boot. You put things in it. They move around inside.
It has a stick in the middle where you sit and 3 pedals. It crunches if you get it wrong. The others make it go forwards or backwards. Sometimes quicker. Sometimes slower.
It has colour on the paint. Some bright. Some dull. Some brown and sharp.
All in all. Its a car.

Anyone remember that car ad where the girl who was selling it had a picture of her & her mate stood on the roof of it?
