Nice modern Estate car £21k

Trading in a 2017 Peugeot 3008 GT line which was well specced but really fancy a change. Like when getting a new mobile phone, you want your new car to 'feel' like an upgrade.

I have a wife likes the SUV higher up driving position and she drives as much as me so I need to consider her needs as well. Personally I would go for a nice modern estate car but it depends on the car I guess if she would bite (think Audi/Merc/BMW or something well specced). It doesn't (or shouldn't be a rocket) but it would have to look the part.
We don't do a lot of miles, mostly suburban, some motorway and maybe 2 or 3 100+ miles journeys a year.

Looking at cars <£21k roughly

Have considered a 2021 Tucson Ultimate/N-Line/Premium - its just outside the budget but has all the bells and whistles.
But if I was to go for a nice estate car what should I consider?

Should the Octavia VRS, bmw 3 Touring, Golf R etc be considered too small compared to the 3008? Staying away from French.

Here is a list of some things that come to mind when I think of what I would like (but then I guess everyone would), in no particular order:

• Petrol/Hybrid/PHEV
• Not smaller than the 3008
• Reliable and too bad to tax/insure
• Reversing + 360 cameras
• Parking assist
• Wireless phone charger
• Android Auto (wireless?)
• Retractable wing mirrors
• Electric tailgate
• Keyless entry
• Automatic headlights
• Less than 40,000 miles
• Decent screen + infotainment system
• Good sound system
• Leather or modern interior
• Decent boot size
• Heated seats (bonus for rear too)
• Heated steering wheel (nice to have)
• Pan sun roof (nice to have)
• Digital Dash
• Privacy glass
• Nice/fun to drive
• Some warranty lol

Any fancy estate cars that fit the bill which could convince my missus?

Skoda Superb?

I had one as a hire car for a few weeks and was very impressed with it. They are large and feel very well put together.

Or how about a Seat Tarraco if it has to be more SUV.

Have been looking at these, seen some nice ones - possibly might be *too* big for the missus, but I think they do a sportline version - the badge would no doubt put my wife off however. Might try and find a couple near me.

Ideally 2019+ (maybe 2018). Want it to be newer to my current car. Not sure what you mean by drivetrain - but auto or manual is fine.

Not driven a 3008 to compare, but the Octavia's boot is slightly bigger than the 3008 and there's plenty of room for adults in the back with a 6' driver, so probably big enough for your needs.

Volvo V60 could be worth a look too. Cross Country version is a little higher which might meets your wife's preference without going full SUV like the XC60.

BMW X1 is about the same size as a 3008. Quite a few recent ones in budget on Autotrader.

Yes, if you can find one. I didn't see one that met you requirements when I had a quick look but there's probably some out there.

Not really, a E class is much bigger more like 5008 size. A 3008 is just a 308 Estste in drag, so actually the c class is a bigger segment car
