Has the car I brought got a turbo?

It's got a few faults and the garage says it needs a new turbo? Er, has it got a turbo? Cheers

BLUEHDI means diesel
AFAIK only VW sold normally aspirated diesel engines in modern times
so yes, it will have a turbo.

I've just Google image searched the engine and they all have a turbo hanging off of the front of it, post a photo of your engine if you're not sure...

'Modern Times' = 20 years ago.

I think you have to go back to the early days of the 206 and 306 to find a Peugeot with a NA diesel.

Easy way to tell, put your foot down in second and if the car gets to 2000rpm and then suddenly feels like a car with twice the power - it has a turbo.
If it revs all the way up to the redline with no recognisable power increase - it's probably N/A.

Or you could just look in the engine at the hot bit.
