Two cheap insurance quotes. The rest much higher. Red flag?

Just ran a quote for a car I'm interesting with buying. Two results came back from Esure at just over £600. The rest were all £900 plus. Should I consider it a red flag if only one insurer is offering a good price, the risk being that no one is offering a good price come renewal time and I get my pants pulled down?

I had this yesterday and the difference was comp excess, cheapest was with 1250 comp on top of my 250 vol.

The "normal" excess quotes were +30%

The quote I ran earlier was on Confused. Just ran it on Meerkat and the same insurers have quoted me, but all the quotes are all about 10% less! Go figure!

I think esure are mopping up a lot of people who are being quoted extortionate prices by others

Bought a Velar last week and they were comfortably the cheapest - not normally what I see at all
