2nd Car for Amazon Flex / Uber / Towing 1400kg

Friend of mine is looking at starting doing this to suppliment the pay. They are looking at changing the second car anyways but wanted something to allow him to do this in the evenings.

Looking at Superb (Estate/Saloon) TDI and the Civic Tourer Dtec so far, Seem to be the go to cars you see as taxis so normally the ones I would recommend. also can fit a decent amount in them and seem reliable.

Any others worth looking at? I would say hybrid but they are looking at towing trailers as an extra requirement. (1400kg min)
