There have been hundreds of these 'in the trade' for ages: there are currently 113 with fewer than 500-miles on the clock (of which 94 are under 100-miles). 283 with fewer than 5,000 miles.

Great car, priced too high. I guess Porsche had to recover some of the development costs, but what worries me is that a lot of it is shared across VAG anyway.

But yeah, a Porsche 4 door that has hideous depreciation, who would have guessed it?



Who buys a car like that and only does 700 miles though? If they werent going to use it, surely a conversation with the dealer and a haircut on the price would be sufficient to get out of it?

Lots of high performance cars out there that have relatively high "list" prices that nobody actually pays close to the list price, given the discounting, and so depreciation seems far more higher than is in real life.

For example, take a look at this Jan 2024 BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe with 1,190 miles which had a "list" price of almost £164k when you take into account all the options like Carbon Ceramic brakes etc.

It's up for sale at a BMW dealer for £94,965 and according to the AT Price Tracker, it's already been lowered in price by almost £4,500 since when they first listed last month.

Seen quite a few of these around the £60k mark all a few years old, I heard that Porsche dealers have far too much supply and not enough demand on them and offering terrible part ex rates or flat out refusing them.

Who are they kidding - it’s clearly terrible value for the next buyer.

I do think they look great though. I have been watching the price of petrol engined ones too - all hovering around £40k and much better suited to my use/needs

Weren’t most of these through lease work schemes to avoid tax ?
Pretty sure no one took a hit on them.
No one is buying them at the £146k list price either.

Said it before, impossible for EV to catch on with people who are using their own money to buy.
