GAP insurance on salary sacrifice lease?

I actually had gap insurance on my previous petrol car. I rang them up and they said they can't transfer it as the policy excluded electric cars. I'll be now cancelling that now but my question is whether its worth getting it for salary sacrifice lease?

I purchased the gap insurance last year as I bought the BMW, which was quite expensive but now its a different story as its a lease so not sure
