50k for a Vauxhall... When did that happen?
Discussion
Missus dragged me along to look at a Vauxhall grandland. The MHEV 1.2 ultimate...... Nearly s@#t a brick at the price. With a leather interior £50000 British pounds, for a bloody Vauxhall....... Nah! When did this happen. A 50k vauxhall suv! Worlds gone entered madness with new car prices. These Chinese manufacturers are starting to look attractive.

So true. I was shocked when I first saw a Peugeot for over £40k a few years ago as well. It is difficult to keep up with it all now I reckon.
Kia and Hyundai are great examples of how much car prices have changed too, and I remember when they were just cheap and cheerful cars like the Lada and Skoda of the time for example. The car world has gone completely mad in many ways I think.

You can pick up an MG HS with a much more powerful set-up for nearly £20k less with discounts, it's no wonder they are such a big seller.BigsimonY said:

50k may be the RRP for a brand new one but a quick look on Autotrader will show that there are plenty of new pre registered cars the same drive train on Autotrader for 33-38k sat at main dealers. I don't know if that includes leather admittedly. cerb4.5lee said:

I thought the salesman was messing with me when I asked how much the e-3008 they had on display was and he said “just over £50K”.Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
