Do any members currently own or have one. I’ve looked at a few XC70s that were in my original budget of £3k but they are a bit long in the tooth, some were quite appalling. I’ve tried a Subaru Outback which was much better, but the VED is the killer, also I think trying to sell it on maybe hard as they are quite thirsty. So I’ve upped the budget to look at possibly a Vauxhall.

I’m not really a fan of either the A4 or A6 and don’t like VAG in general.

So many issues with them and things to look out for, I would spend some time on the Vauxhall owners forum.

I had one as a Company Car when they were new and liked it. My Brother has a 2013 Insignia NAV Elite and bought one for £3k(ish) with a full history and a file of receipts thicker than a Dockers Sandwich and has been over the moon with his. He’s got quite a commute to work at all hours and it just ‘works’ in the literal sense - not flash, nor fast but comfortable and economical.

I also have a friend who is now on his third Insignia Bi-Turbo (his Wife keeps writing them off - long story) and he’s always sung their praises.
