ULEZ and import from Australia
Discussion
Not sure if this is the right sub forum, but I'm thinking of shipping my 2009 petrol Prado back from Oz when I return to the UK later this year.
I will be moving back to London and can't work out whether it would be ULEZ compliant now. I know that all post 2006 petrol cars were considered exempt in the past but the ULEZ website seems to want CoCs now and. of course, Oz cars don't have them. It's Euro 4 as all Toyota petrols were Euro4 by 2009 but I've no idea how I can prove this in a format acceptable to TfL.
Anyone from the Pistonheads hive mind know the answer to this? If it's not complaint it's staying but it's rust free (I'm in North Queensland) and would be ideal to tow the race car back in the UK.

2009 Petrol should be OK. Would likely come in under PLG I think.
My Imported 2009 Vantage is ULEZ compliant. That came in under a CoC and was put under PLG (Great for Road Tax).

Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)
This vehicle meets the ULEZ emissions standards
You do not need to pay a daily ULEZ charge to drive in the zone, and are helping to improve air quality across London.
It's more the NOx and Particulates from Diesels that ULEZ persecutes. Although High Compression Petrol engines can spew out a fair bit of NOx as well (not Diesel levels mind). This vehicle meets the ULEZ emissions standards

It might be worth contacting Toyota Australia customer service and seeing if they can provide CoC info / written confirmation of when it was brought in to Aus and that it complied with the ADRs at the time (which set the emissions requirements). Might be useful to have in case you’re asked for it.
