CINCH - ANY GOOD?

We have had 2 cinch cars through the door, one with a knackered engine owned 6 months and the owner was told sorry, 90 day warranty, the other was an Evoque, that needed a wheel bearing that they took back and replaced, we then had to replace the driveshaft and hub assembly and lower arm as they hit it that hard they cracked the hub. In fairness they did pay the 2k invoice.
If the Evoque is a diesel and not the 2.2 then I wouldn’t.

I had a Jag xe from them two years ago to use for a work commute. I’m now in a different job so my daughter is using it as her daily.
The buying experience from Chinch was great, full disclosure of any marks/damage. Answered all my questions.
The delivery and handover was better than some I have had with new cars.
Whole transaction was very good.

I sold my Qashqai daily driver to We Buy Any Car and about 4 weeks later it appeared on the Cinch website with a 2k mark up (WBAC surprisingly gave me the top trade in price for it). The car was in immaculate condition apart from two very small marks which were highlighted on the Cinch photos. About 6 weeks before I sold it I put two brand new Avon tyres on the front wheels. When I was looking at the Cinch photos I noticed that they had taken these off and replaced them with budget ditch finders. They basically source most of their vehicles from WBAC. Both companies are owned by British Car Auctions with the nicer cars being retailed by Cinch and the older / higher mileage stuff going through the BCA auctions.

Thank you, yes, I heard Range Rovers are a favourite of car thieves. Luckily, where I live, it's a bit like an island and safer than most places... can't actually recall a single car theft in the village and I've been here since 1971 https://www.whatcar.com/news/the-most-stolen-cars-...

Actually, someone did pinch my friend's mum's car once from outside her house (next door to the police station) many years ago. One of the policemen knocked the door and asked if she'd lent her car to Fitzy as he'd just driven off in it. Her son went round to his house and he said "sorry, I wouldn't have taken it if I'd known it was your mum's, it was cold and I didn't want to walk home" he brought the car back and a bunch of flowers lol

I've seen a few Cinch cars now, most of which were decent enough cars, and the buyers were happy with the cars, and the service. (probably 10-15 cars)
I saw one that was below what we expected condition wise, including a cracked headlight, so that one was collected, and promptly refunded.
One also came into the workshop that I was running at the time.
The alternator was trashed because who ever serviced it didn't push the dipstick all the way down, soaking the alternator in oil.
We did the work, dealt with the warranty side of Cinch.
Pleased to say they approved the work quickly, and paid us for the work the very next day after completion...Top service..

As per Steve, a couple of years ago we had a 2.2 Evoque, which was great for what it was, my wife loved the fact it was an RR etc...If the Evoque is a diesel and not the 2.2 then I wouldn’t.
When we came to sell it, I advertised it on Autotrader and a 4x4 specialist from Shropshire drove the 150 miles to buy it, he said they only buy 2.2 Evoques or Discovery Sports as they won't touch the 2.0 IngeniBoom! engine ones, as not worth it for their reputation / repeat business or warranty claims.
We've now just bought a 2 owner 2.2 Discover Sport, although one point to note is that it is not ULEZ compliant.

I love my Evoque but it's 2017, so just want a newer one
