Am I being scammed selling on Facebook?
Discussion
Listed my car on fb, had an enquiry asking to come and get it the next day. Negotiated, asked for the location (5 hours away) and still wanted the car.
Payment is going to be by bank transfer, offered to pay a deposit to show they’re not time wasting.
I’ve checked out the location on maps and Google, the car dealership is where he says it is and the same place listed on his marketplace ads but seems to have about 5 different company names which appears very suspicious?

Is it rare?
Is it priced notably lower than similar cars?
Does it have stand-out features that make it uniquely desirable?
If the answer to all the above is no, then why would they want to travel 5 hours to acquire stock for a business that isn’t going to have massive profit margins?
If the answer to any of the above is yes then I guess it’s plausible, but I’d still want to confirm with a phone call that you have made outbound to one of the dealers googleable phone numbers.
