Hyundai Santa Fe

Currently drive a 2019 VW Tiguan 2.0TSI DSG 4WD 190 R line Tech.

I was initially considering buying the new VW Tayron, although the styling is very much the same as every other new SUV these days.
After having read the Top Gear review of the new Hyundai Santa Fe, l started to seriously consider one of those.
Now I have been a badge snob in the past and generally mainly considered German cars as the manufacturer of choice.
I’ve driven Kia’s as work cars in the past and have been appalled at through build quality. Having sat in the new Santa Fe, my wife and I, were both massively impressed: the space, build quality, material used and the colour.
I narrowed the models down to the Santa Fe Ultimate 2WD.
We went down to our local dealership and they had the exact model I wanted albeit 4WD, in Terracotta orange. My wife loved it whilst I was ‘ok’ about it.

I just wander if this should be a serious consideration or got back to my default German cars name.

Maybe I should also consider the new Skoda Kodiak as well.
What would you all prefer?

They're as well built as any mainstream German car so yes buy one but if you want to step up another level take a look at the Genesis GV70/80:
