Biggest rear leg room
Discussion
Good afternoon,
Possibly a hypothetical question but I might actually be buying one of the cars.
Budget if £10k ish, what car offers the best rear legroom (growing teenage boys) but is not horrifying for bills / reliability?
We have an S212 E350 at present (keeping it might be the answer but let’s pretend it is going).
My thoughts:
Lexus LS460 - great but big bills for front suspension and steering by rack.
Mercedes S500L - 5.5 or 4.7tt flavour. Great but usual big saloon weakness of air suspension, electrics etc.
Jaguar XJ / XF - XJ with 5.0 supercharged is intriguing but don’t know much about them. XFR looks brilliant but small in the rear?
BMW 740/50il - are they quite fragile of good?
Range Rover L322 - I have a sadistic desire for one but know they will be crap!
Audi A8 - does it have a LWB option?
I’m sure there are others that I have not thought of.
Open to any suggestions.
Thank you.

Lots of room in a Superb, but after the S212 it will feel very uninspiring to drive. You will also need to check the Skoda seats. Mine made me probably the top customer for my chiropractor for a few months. Conversely, I can sit in my S212 for a six hour stretch and climb out as fresh as if I have just driven to the next village.
My 6'2" son sits behind my 5'11" wife, with my 5' 8" daughter behind me (6'2") and we are all perfectly comfortable all the way to the Dordogne in the Benz.

I find the Skoda seats seem to be doing the same for my back, my Mondeo was more comfortable. My 6'2" son sits behind my 5'11" wife, with my 5' 8" daughter behind me (6'2") and we are all perfectly comfortable all the way to the Dordogne in the Benz.

I've got a 2018 L&K superb, and it's got very comfy seats - not quite 7 series or s-class, but good enough for 5 hours trips without stopping and being ok afterwards...
